The Saharian nation of Niger is gripped in one of the world's worst hunger plagues. 20 million people are currently in danger of starvation. 20,000 children die each week. Yet the world continues to drags its feet.

In the Tillaberi region skirting the Sahara Desert 50% of the children are malnourished. Famine, drought and a locust plague has placed this once prosperous nation one wrung from being the world's poorest. The nation has almost no natural resources and one of the worst climates in the world.

In an attempt to save lives The Peples Coalition For Justice And Humanity and The Association of African American Churches are making an appeal to the community to donate what you can to help to feed these children. There no war in Niger and no political impedance preventing food from being delivered to these starving people. The only thing preventing this human atrocity from continuing is your lack of response.

Act now. Ignorance may have been an excuse, but now you are aware and every minute that you wait another child dies.

You can send donations directly  to the United Nation's World Food Program at wfp.org   You can feed a child for only 15 to 20 cents per day.
