Is Nutter Nuts?
PHILADELPHA, Pa--

Who remembers the hoopla around the mayoral campaign of Michael Nutter?  A lot of people in Philadelphia saw him as our last hope of saving the City of Brotherly Love. The whole scenario reminds me of the current presidential elections and all of the expetations raised by Barak Obama.  Like Obama, Nutter's campaign ticket was all about change and it was primarily built around preventing the street violence swallowing up our city.   He said that resolving the problem was two-fold, that we needed more police officers and more people to cooperate as informants.  Nutter promised to hire more police officers.  He said that he would deploy them on the streets of Philadelphia in the neighborhoods where our children were being shot down as they walked to school, but he made the decision not to employ the most recent graduates from the police academy.

Not only did he break that promise Michael Nutter has recently implemented policy to remove needy equipment (like fire water trucks) from fire stations (a life threatening issue) and close a bulk of libraries that our children depend upon not only for books but for after school activities as well.  What are these thousands of children to do now?

Michael Nutter ran as an average guy but he is really just another elite like most politicians who talk trash but seldom deliver.  As an African American Michael Nutter may be the right color for change, but it looks like politics as usual with this guy.

Is Michael Nutter Nuts?  A better question is who is the nuttiest, the nut himself or all of the nuts that follow him?

That's my opinion and I'm entitled to  it...what's yours?
